A SPECIAL INVITE TO DADS & FATHER FIGURES IN OUR SCHOOL
Dear Dad/Father Figure,
We, along with our school leadership, would like to provide you with some information and invite you to join our school’s “Champion” Dads’ group. If you are new to the school or just haven’t had a chance to attend any of our events, the information below will help you understand what the MOTHS do at CHPS.
Our fun, social group was formed to give dads and father figures the opportunity to engage with their kids in a range of enjoyable activities, create a network for us to get together and chat about being a ‘Dad’, as well as making new friends and working together to build an even stronger school community.
The “Champion” Dads’ Group idea comes from an organisation known as The Fathering Project, so please feel free to access their website for more information about what they offer at www.fatheringproject.org. The Fathering Project also provides weekly tips related to what they think are important things about being a dad and how they can help you to be the best dad, step-dad, uncle or grandfather you can be. If you would like to receive this information, it will only take you a couple of minutes to register via www.fp4me.org
In the last twelve months our group has conducted enjoyable events for dads and their kids including: Dads/Kids Bowling night, Father/Father Trivia night, Dads/Kids Christmas carol performance on the oval and a Kids/Dads Movie night. We also have Dads-only events, plus a big event in November 2018: Camping on the Oval!!!
It would be great if you could come along at any time to any of our planned events and talk about the exciting things we can do together as part of our group. If you would like some more information, please contact either Paul Brophy, Matt Nott or Matt Cook at email@example.com or join our Facebook group “Men of the Hills” MOTHS and we’ll take it from there.
